Art at a Variety of Levels October 28, 2008 The book can be utilized on several levels; in the classroom as a learning tool - whether students are exploring art or the history of Mexico - or simply as a coloring book, whether at home or in school, though an educational component can make for a great experience for the young person.
Education through creativity and art should not be a venue that ends at a certain grade level. There is a vast potential with this book to bring a wonderful dimension to history that is mostly breezed through in textbooks and TV programs.
Great designs for older students/people January 12, 2008 This book has some excellent designs. It would not be good for most children as the designs are too complicated. It is also provides some great ideas for Papel Picado. It does not limit designs to Day of the Dead.
coloring for adults December 14, 2007 "Get out your crayons and your pencils" This is mommy's coloring book-something every mom should have. The intricate line drawings offer hours of coloring that produce very framable finished works. This is great for plane trips, hospital visits, or just plain procrastination. Next time your boss calls say your are coloring and mean it. I recommend fine tip markers or quality colored pencils.
Wonderful Introduction November 18, 2007 This is a fun way to be introduced to mexican folk art culture. I also use it for ideas when I paint decorations on furniture, wooden boxes, etc. And since the pages are'nt colored,I am not restricted or influenced,I can choose my own interpretation.
